What the information is for

• Planning and interest, not the official word. Dates, courses, results and documents come from the organisers and are linked to their source. The organiser's notice of race, sailing instructions and published results always prevail; check them before you enter, travel or race.
• Weather is history, not a forecast. Wind and sea figures describe past race days and typical conditions. They are not routing, navigation or safety advice. The decision to race is yours alone, as the racing rules say.
• Toughness and other scores are our estimates, worked out from published data in a way the about page explains. They are not a rating of any race's safety.
• Mistakes happen. We check what we publish, but we can't promise every figure is right or current. Tell us and we'll fix it.

Other people's sites and services

Organisers' sites, live trackers, results services and news outlets are run by others; we link to them and are not responsible for what they show or whether they are up. Spaces marked “Advertisement” or “From Regatta Index” are ads or our own promos and are kept apart from the race information: no race is listed, ranked or scored differently because of advertising.

Whose it is

• The site's text, design, maps, charts, scores and artwork are ours.
• Race names, results, documents and marks belong to the organisers and classes; sailors' and boats' names appear as published in those results. We don't use race logos or people's photos.
• You are welcome to quote a fact or a figure with a link to the page it came from. Please don't copy the database wholesale or republish pages as your own.

What we ask of you

• Use the site lawfully and don't try to break, overload or get around its protections.
• Automated reading is fine at a polite pace that respects robots.txt; for anything bulk, ask first.
• If you send us a correction or information, it should be accurate and yours to share.

Our responsibility

The site is provided as it is, free of charge. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses from relying on it, from its being unavailable, or from third-party sites it links to. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
